The Family Resource Center for Disabilities and Special Needs, Inc. is a not for profit organization located in Charleston, South Carolina, providing information services throughout the Lowcountry.
The Family Resource Center was organized to promote opportunities for learning, inclusion, and empowerment for individuals with disabilities and special needs, their families, and their communities through such means as education, advocacy, and outreach.
The Board of Directors, composed of parents and professionals from the tri-county, will always contain, in majority, members who are parents or family members of individuals with disabilities.
The Family Resource Center is funded through grants, donations, fundraisers, and community support. The Family Resource Center is a non-profit corporation registered with the IRS as a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization. Donations to the Center are tax deductible according to federal guidelines. The Board invites inquiries regarding the activities of The Family Resource Center and welcomes support from the tri-county area to accomplish our mission.
